Three months ago I had the really incredible opportunity to document the birth of Cecelia Allen. Her parents, Jessica and Josh, asked me to be a part of the birth and I was so honored, scared and nervous, but honored.
After talking through the details of what they wanted and explaining to them how I felt I would want to shoot the birth, I agreed to try my absolute best to be there. They knew that I couldn’t leave a wedding, but I assured them that with the exception of a wedding I would make being present from beginning to end for the birth of their child my top priority.
The night of the birth I got a call from an amazingly calm Jessica that tonight was the night. Luckily the call came at about 2am on Sunday morning so my schedule was pretty clear
I jumped out of bed, got ready, and headed to the center. From the moment I pulled up I set my focus on capturing this momentous occasion as best I could so that this family could have a record of one of the best days of their lives. The slide show below is what I gave to them so that they can remember the night.
(make sure your volume is up - There is natural sound mixed in throughout the show)
Last night, my wife Whitney and I had dinner with the Allens and I took a few pictures of now three-month-old Cece.

She has grown up huh?!!?
Well I wanted to share this with you guys as something that meant a lot to me, and as something that hopefully you enjoy. I wish you the absolute best Cecelia! Your parents, and everyone who meets you, LOVES YOU! You are going to do amazing things.
